Boeing's 6th gen fighter set to replace the F18 super hornet in the future. Boeing Aircraft's "Next Generation Air Dominance" program is to build a 6th generation fighter by the year 2025 which is intended to replace the Navy's F-18 Hornet and the Air Force's F-22 Raptor. However, with plans currently in place to extended the current inventory life span it may be 2040 before we see an aircraft such as this one proposed by Boeing actually operational.
