Hey guys

Great server with the ACE mod.

Just started playing different servers. Was the owner of a clan/community for a couple of years, but I've closed the doors this month. We had 2 servers running. We changed to BC2 when it first came out (Which was a disaster for us tbh) and changed back to MW a while back and ran the K3 mod and the Demon mod on close. The K3 has just closed down., The Demon will run until the end of this month. Website etc will also all close.

On the upside - that's how I found the great bunch of regs that play on the ACE server. (not having to worry about supporting and admining our own ) I've also started to play WaW a little - and have rediscovered CoD2!! (There are still a lot of great modded CoD2 servers out there!)

Great to see that there is still lots of interest to the mapping moddingservers. Check out our COD5 server! Their are some nice modifications in this mod like - Vehicle Support (Better MG animations, health and more)- Binoculars- Spotting Feature for use with Binoculars (using USE key)- Dvar to disable console on Clients- Tripwires (with multi-options)- Turret Overheating options

A quick update ....

Some of my previous members expressed a wish to stay in touch and keep playing together so I agreed to maintain our TS. We are playing in varied servers and games, and I decided that they could do with a HQ. So I built www.diehards-hq.co.uk. last week

As well as keeping in touch I am displaying favourite and recommended servers on different LGSL grids for different game-types.


I hope you'll be happy to know that the [DFP]HC Full Metal server is featured on the CoD4 servers grid, and the [DFP] Hardcore Mixed 24/7 BC2 is also featured on the LGSL grids.


I am operating this as a come one-come-all community; only provisor being fair play and respect for others. Any who join the website are invited to wear the >DH< tag if they wish - so, hopefully you could see some of us calling by your place from time to time

If any admins are curious as to how the [DFP] Clan is represented on our site please call in, I'm sure you will be happy how you are displayed.

I might see you in there now and again - but I have major problems with WaW and punkbusterB.

I have slight issues with it with MW too , but usually I can change the compatability mode on pnkbstrb and give it admin permissions and it will be fine. BuT WaW I can play the first map through (usually) but on change of map pnkbstrb does not start up. More often than not that is then the end!

It's how I found a couple of servers I have on that lgsl grid - they are not pb controlled - but extremely well admined.

Do you get the “Error during initialization: Unhandled exception caught”

To remedy this problem click:

Start->Control Panel->Sound
Right Click on the default playback device (e.g. Speakers) and click properties. From there select the Advanced tab.

To eliminate this error the default playback format must be set at 24 bit 48000Hz (Studio Quality). Simply select this from the dropdown list and apply the settings.


Try launching the game now-Everything should run fine.
