Battlefield 3 will feature the classic, rock-paper-scissors Battlefield-styled multiplayer, with a
Conquest game mode and a wide variety of maps. So far only a handful of maps have been confirmed, and we expect the
Conquest mode to return, while other modes, such as
Rush, might find its way to Battlefield 3 as well.
Battlefield 3 game modes
Battlefield 3 will support the classic Battlefield mode “Conquest”. In addition to Conquest, the Rush mode which was popular in Bad Company 2 will also be available in Battlefield 3. Finally, a new game more, Team Deathmatch, will be featured in Battlefield 3.
Battlefield 3 factions
So far only two factions have been confirmed for Battlefield 3: USMC (United States Marine Corps), and Russian forces. Factions on Battlefield 3 will have faction specific weapons and unlocks, unlike Bad Company 2.

Battlefield 3 will most certainly feature an online persistence system, as it’s a key part of the franchise and has been in most Battlefield games, dating back from Battlefield 2.

Battlefield 3 is expected to receive a wide variety of awards, ranging from medals, pins, badges and other forms of online achievements.
